The FDA has a new questionnaire that can be used to help identify predictors of post-LASIK visual symptoms. The Patient-Reported Outcomes with LASIK (PROWL) study found that less than 1 percent of patients reported difficulties performing daily activities following LASIK. The most common post-LASIK symptoms included halos and dryness three months post-operatively. The study also found that the post-LASIK visual satisfaction rate was greater than 95 percent. The Houston eye doctors at Diagnostic Eye Center fully discuss all of the benefits and risks of LASIK with each patient and are happy to provide a life-changing procedure with such a high safety profile. Call us today for your free consultation to find out if LASIK or a different refractive procedure is right for you!
