Diagnostic Eye Center is proud to welcome our newest eye surgeon, Dr. Andrew Salem, to our practice!
Dr. Salem is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist. He is skilled in Modern LASIK and Laser Cataract Surgery, as well as general ophthalmology. To date, Dr. Salem has performed thousands of vision correction procedures for his patients and has even had refractive surgery himself.
Dr. Salem has undergone extensive training in vision care to best treat his patients. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Tulane University and continued his studies at the world-renowned Jules Stein Institute at UCLA, completing his fellowship in Cornea, External Ocular Diseases, and Refractive Surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Salem was selected to participate in the ASCRS foreign exchange program, where he trained with eye surgeons in Italy to learn the most advance anterior segment surgical techniques.
Dr. Salem has additionally completed work in underdeveloped countries, volunteering surgical expertise and training local eye surgeons, Dr. Salem has also completed a mission trip to Cordoba, Mexico, completing over 150 cataract surgeries for patients in need.
